The Italian architect Gio Ponti used the chair … more This High Back Wicker Chair was designed by Lio Carminati circa 1948. The Italian architect Gio Ponti used the chair for some of the furnishings on the ocean liner Conte Biancamano from 1948-49.
The famous Carlo Mollino had photographed his erotic portraits sitting on this model of wicker chair.
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
