Furniture designer Ib Kofod-Larsen's designed storage and seating for the Swedish market in the 1960s but did not really reach any commercial success, perhaps because his organic design was not to Swedish taste at the time. In Denmark, on the contrary, his sideboards produced by Faarup won immediate recognition. Today his creations, often in rosewood or Palisander, have become appreciated by a global community of design enthusiasts. Ib Kofod-Larsen's most celebrated achievement is the Elizabeth chair and ottoman, model U-56, executed by Christensen and Larsen.
