Numbered in pencil, on the lower left, edition 30/99 prints. Good conditions. This artwork shows a glimpse of Minerva square which is in the historic center of Rome, in the Pigna district, located near the Pantheon. The name of the square derives from the original existence in this place of a temple built by Gneo Pompeo Magno and dedicated to Minerva Chalkidiki, whose cult statue is now in the Vatican Giuseppe Malandrino (Modica, 1910 - Rome, 1979) was a portrait painter, landscape painter, all-round artist, who became interested, during his Roman stay in his youth, also in photography and cinema. After leaving his native village, he moved to Rome where he attended Giacomo Balla's studio and began a series of exhibitions that made him well-known throughout the world. less
