Original black and white drawing on paper glued on cardboard (36.6 x 26.4 cm). The artwork represents a beautiful landscape with vegetation in the foreground and in the background The drawing is hand-signed by the artist on the lower right corner. Titled on the lower center. Original title: Le mauvais temps. Paul Roux, born Paul-Louis-Joseph Roux, (1851 - 1918) is a French painter, engraver and watercolorist. He is the son of the painter Louis Roux (1817- 1903) and Joséphine Jullien. He travelled to England, from which he brings back landscapes of the English countryside and the banks of the Thames, exposed to the Salon from 1882. Paul Roux exhibited regularly at the Salon de Paris from 1870. He often presents etchings and watercolors characterized by a touch light and subtle, full of spontaneity. He is a member of the Society of French Artists. less
