Actualités, Old Angle is an amusing satirical illustration by the French illustrator and caricaturist, Cham (alias Count Amédée de Noé, 1818-1879) realized in 1865. Beautiful Hand-colored lithograph on ivory colored paper. Signed on the plate and dated on the lower right. With the description on the lower in French. In very good condition except for diffused foxing and small ripping on the margins of whitish frame. Colorful satiric scene of an old angle with a hourglass in his hand in hurry of flying, with two men from back on the lower right,created through confident strokes, depicted by mastery. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
