Actualités, Hiver is an amusing satirical illustration by the French illustrator and caricaturist, Cham (alias Count Amédée de Noé, 1818-1879) realized in 1882. Beautiful Hand-colored lithograph on ivory colored paper. Signed on the plate and dated on the lower right. With the description on the lower in French. In very good condition except for diffused foxing on the margins of whitish frame. Satiric scene of two standing men in deserted windy landscape, through confident strokes, depicted by mastery. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
