Description: Louis XIV style chest of drawers, known as the ''Tombeau'', which by definition offers generously curved lines, a domed front … more Louis XIV style chest of drawers, known as the ''Tombeau'', which by definition offers generously curved lines, a domed front and bulging sides.
Its top is a dark Granite Marble with White veining, carved in Bec de Corbin on its periphery.
This piece of furniture opens with three large drawers of varying depths, arranged in three rows and assembled in ''tails of dovetail''. Their fronts, as well as the sides of this chest of drawers, have a thick Rosewood veneer harmoniously arranged in friezes and chevrons, and display floral inlays in light and green stained wood. Each of these drawers has a central lock - real for the first one, fictitious for the two following ones - and two drop handles ''aux Valets'' in Bronze. The cabinet is supplied with its key.
The front uprights are adorned over their entire height with cut-out Bronzes finished in Sabots.
The bottom rail is also embellished with a Shell with foliage motifs.
The inside of the drawers is in Oak.

Perfect condition. Waxed finish on hard background.
