Description: Vintage Murano vase in white Pulegoso glass by the Murano designer Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892-1977). Ref. M. Heiremans, Art Glass from … more Vintage Murano vase in white Pulegoso glass by the Murano designer Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892-1977). Ref. M. Heiremans, Art Glass from Murano 1910-1970, Arnoldsche 1993. p. 313 Active as sculptor in Rome at the beginning of 20th century, he comes back to Murano in 1925 to found the ''Vetri Soffiati Murano Venini and Co.'' Company, along with the same Paolo Venini and Francesco Zecchin. In this Company he becomes Art Director. In 1932 he leaves Venini and founds the ''Zecchin Martinuzzi'' along with Francesco Zecchin. Between 1951 and 1952 he becomes designed for ''Arte Vetro di Alberto Seguso'' while between 1953 and 1958 he partners with Cedenese. Napoleone Martinuzzi is still considered one of the finest Murano glass designers of all times. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
