Storage furniture in solid Walnut, of the Diminutive type, consisting by definition of an upper body less wide and less deep than the one on which it rests.
These two elements open through glass doors - one for the upper part, two for the lower part - with carved motifs in the corners. They are equipped with a working lock and brass key. The interiors are furnished with two sets of two shelves. They are 27 and 34 cm deep and are mounted on racks and can therefore be adjusted to any desired storage heights of 85 and 73 cm. The base unit also has a 6 cm deep, lockable drawer on the side.
The two carcasses of this sideboard are each decorated with two detached turned columns on the front, supporting protruding, engraved decorative overhangs.
The Cornice, the intermediate shelf and above all the base of this Deux Corps have multiple mouldings.
The sides of this piece of furniture are designed with flat strips, the back is also in Walnut.
The unit rests on two Galettes legs at the front and two straight legs at the back.
The two elements that make up this furniture can easily be disassembled from each other by a simple system of return screws.
One will appreciate the rational dimensions of this sideboard, which contrast with the image of heaviness often associated with the Deux Corps anciens. Its recessed top and glazed doors accentuate this impression of lightness. In addition, one will appreciate the high Quality and the pretty colour of its Wood, the first one being in adequacy with the new aspirations of the consumers, the second one with the Decorative tendencies of the moment.
