A distressed Regency period gilt framed pier mirror. Circa 1820.
The mirror has an inverted breakfront frieze, with ball mounts and acanthus leaf decoration on either side, flanked by cluster faux bamboo columns.
The main mirror plate is original and is beautifully heavily distressed. I have added a new piece of dark grey mirrored glass to the panel above.
The gilt frame does show wear and damage. There are two mirror plates to the back and a later backboard added.
