Exterior of rich burr walnut with tunbridge ware inlay decoration. Top lid opens to reveal a compartment and pen tray flanked either side by ink wells. Writing slope opens to a rich blue velvet writing surface, which folds back on itself to reveal a well and 2 secret drawers.all secured by original lock and key. Locks stamped hapt and son of london.obvious signs of use to purple paper lined interior, but in wonderful original condition. See less
