Elaborately carved and hand-painted with hearts and floral decoration on a dark green background.
Completely made of wood, runners, entrance steps and the (working!) brakes are made of solid forged iron. The seating area inside is painted dark red. The benches are quite small and low and were probably for children, while the adult could sit on the coachman's seat.
Eyecatcher is the golden horse, which is the figurehead in the front of the sled.
Very good age-appropriate original condition!
