This high-quality table lamp of glazed ceramic was designed by the Polish ceramist Marian Zawadzki ( 1912 - 1978 ) who has worked for Tilgmans Keramik in Sweden. Zawadski work became exemplary for the company's product line. Using a sgraffito, Marian Zawadzki carved thin lines in his designs. This gave his work a unique texture.
The fine ceramic base shows the graphic representation of a horse, its rider and floral decor. The lamp comes with the original fabric shade showing a hand-crafted filigree decor of blades of grass.
