This chandelier is a prototype that Verner Panton was attributed in the 70s, with metal structure made of cast aluminum and very thick material, that is also the canopy is chromed cast aluminum. Such a production quality was otherwise used only in the 30s to 50s. We ourselves have not seen such an extensive quality before.

The chandelier has 8 dichroic glass elements with an iridescent surface exhibiting a variety of colors when the light capturing the glass and emits again with very high brilliance. Dichroic is a thin film technology, which is integrated in the material and changes the color shifts in the entire spectrum depending on the viewing angle. The concave and biconcave shaped and cut iridescent glass plates, which are attached to the outside of the structure, interact and produce a spectacular psychedelic effect. This particular glass was originally developed for the aerospace industry and must be made in a vacuum chamber, accumulate in the electron many microscopic layers of metal oxides such as titanium or magnesium on the glass. This metal coating absorbs and reflects the different colors of light at different angles, whereby the glass is multi-colored. Because of this complexity in the production, it is quite expensive and is not often used for the lighting production. Originally this type was developed for satellite dishes and now offers numerous high-tech applications for glass fibers, infrared laser, film equipment, and more.


The chandelier was completely dismantled in all the individual parts and cleaned and restored with a new metal frame and new cables Expertly.

All parts are available. All parts have been properly cleaned and repaired. The old original version can be supplied on request (E27)
