The oil on canvas painting dates back to the twentieth Century.

This seascape oil painting is signed Léon Galand and dated 1927. Art Déco painting.

Léon Laurent Galand is a french painter, was born in Montpellier in France in 1872 and died in 1960.

During his career he exhibits regularly in Paris in the Salon des Artistes Français, many are the awards and medals including one of gold in the early twentieth century. Many of the painter's works are kept in the Montpellier museum.
