Description: This sculptural unusual "Space Age" table lamp was manufactured by Mazzega in Italy during the 1970s. The lower glass base … more This sculptural unusual "Space Age" table lamp was manufactured by Mazzega in Italy during the 1970s. The lower glass base is made from white opalescent glass called "osso", which means "bone", fixed on a chromium plated base. The round large crater on the upper side fits an interior bulb holder for one Edison bulb. On top of the crater there is a darker glass ball with a chrome ring around the opening. Depending on the type of light bulb used, the lamp is illuminated in a different way. The electric wire with on/off switch have been replaced with a new one, with European plug. Very good vintage condition, clean and ready for use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
