Each pierced opening is … more A spectacular pierced porcelain bowl/basket and a matching stand with a raised platform to the center. Each pierced opening is entirely cut out by hand and richly hand painted in blue and grey enamel with depiction of a floral motif encircled by a string of beads, with accents of high karat gilding, attributed to the Vienna porcelain factory and bearing press marks 'C 98', indicating its manufacture year - 1798. In the 18th century, porcelain wares of fine quality as this set, were luxury items exclusively for the wealthy elite. Dimensions: bowl, 7.8"Dia. x 3.5"H; stand, 10.5"Dia. x 1.2"H.
