The chest is veneered in quilted maple - a rare and beautiful veneer from the big leaf maple trees of the Pacific Northwest U.S. and Canada. Showing superb figuring, this veneer would only be used on the finest furniture. The chest has contrasting walnut veneered fronts to the handles and front frame.

The chest of drawers is in very good to excellent condition for its age, showing some light signs of use as expected. To note, there is a small mark to the top as shown in the centre of the last photograph. It has a wonderful even shine and the original finish, which has been cleaned and waxed.

The drawers all work very well and are clean on the insides, they have solid wood sides and backs, with dovetail construction. less
