A special round biomorphic clear glass wall sconce or flush mount designed by koch & lowy for peill & putzler, manufactured in germany, circa 1970s. High quality and in very good condition. Cleaned, well-wired and ready to use. Each fixture requires 1 x e27 standard bulbs and is compatible with the us/uk/ etc. Standards. 6 wall lights are available. This light and the other models of this pendant lamp (different sizes) won the if design award in 1975. Information about peill & putzler: peill + putzler: glashüttenwerk peill und sohn was founded in 1903 in düren, a small town in west germany. Peill merged with putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947 as a glass works and lighting company and became - peill & putzler glashüttenwerke -. The company always worked with important designers as wilhelm wagenfeld, william brown, helmut demary, aloys ferdinand gangkofner, horst tüselmann and many others. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
