an exceptional and very rare mid century modern brazil lounge leather suite is offered here. The living room set - model mp-163 "earth" was designed and produced in the 1960s to 1970s by the renowned furniture manufacturer percival lafer in brazil.
percival lafer is a contemporary brazilian furniture manufacturer and a pioneer of brazilian modernism.
this charismatic genuine leather living room lounge set includes a 3 seater sofa, two armchairs and a matching ottoman/stool.
the seat shell is the same as the well-known design object, the "earth chair", by percival lafer.
the frame is made of fine, solid jatoba wood

special features are the beautiful patinated leather in dark brown, the organically curved seat shell - which seems to be floating - and the angular, minimalist base.

condition
the objects are in a good and beautiful vintage condition with occasional insignificant, subtle and minor signs of wear and age. These are superficial scratches, scuffs, nicks and cracks on the wooden frame.
the leather has an acceptable, normal patina - we think the leather has a wonderful patina - like insignificant differences in color caused by light and use, scratches and smaller areas with slight abrasion. On closer inspection, the traces are a little more visible, but without being serious.
