It was developed in the late sixties, and contains a wide range of quality finished metal pendants, wall-, table- and floor lights. Most of them were executed in high gloss chrome plated metal.
Franco Albini worked with various producers, a.o. Arteluce, Knoll, Arflex and Cassina. Albini is also well-known for designing the famous 'Gala'and 'Margherita' rattan chairs. The Sirrah company developed a number of exclusive modernist lights which now are sought after.
This sconce with this particular shade is quite rare. Heavy metal arm holding a concentric 'trumpet' shade. All high end chrome plated metal. Made for built-in-wiring, and thanks to the changeable shade element the light can be used as an uplight or downlight in a matter of seconds. Good and complete condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
