Description: We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely antique French circa 1900 late Victorian pine writing table, desk or … more We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely antique French circa 1900 late Victorian pine writing table, desk or occasional centre table with brown leather top and giltwood frame A very decorative and versatile piece, it looks to have been designed as a writing table desk however the size lends itself well to a centre occasional table as well. It’s a very decorative piece having a hand dyed brown leather top, the frame as you can see is extremely ornate and gold leaf gilt We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, the hand dyed top has a very washy uneven finish as was the intention, the frame is solid sound and free from damage Dimensions: Height 77cm, legroom height 61cm Width 88cm, legroom width 68.5cm Depth 67.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade. less
