Iconic carpet of the production designed by Zeki Muren, singer and design much appreciated in the '50s as well as for his skills as an artist for his eccentric style that has characterized all his production. His style and taste influenced the production of carpets produced in the city of Sparta between 1950 and 1970. The decoration and the choice of colors is a clear reference to the mantle of the leopard inserted in a context that recalls the territory in which this feline moves, which also inspired other works the artist. A decidedly provocative decoration thinking of the Turkish carpets of the 70s. A style that breaks the pattern expressing a modernity still very current. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
