Hand-signed in pencil on the … Read more Figure is an original B/W etching artwork on cardboard realized by Leo Guida in 1972. Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right. Image Dimensions: 32 x 19 cm. Numbered on the lower left, edition 26-30. The state of preservation is good except for some foxings along the margins. The artwork represents a poetical composition with a man over a tree. the artwork is depicted skillfully through confident strokes, the artwork is demonstrated in a well-balanced composition with perfect hatching. Leo Guida: Artist sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave a productive interview on art and the function of the artist with many generations of young people during his activity. He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico di Latina from 1969 to 1985 and trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural landscape. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida shown all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
