We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare original 1976 Fritz Hansen Swan armchair with matching Egg stool in brown suede leather , A stunning and very rare early pair, the suede leather upholstery is original and in fine order for its age, there is a small mark at the front of the chair and another little mark on the stool, some slight discolouration in the upholstery on the chair around the lower back area, you can’t really see it unless you look very closely. The pair have been professionally upholstery cleaned and are looking very sharp for their age The metal frames have a distressed finish due to honest age and fair use. The base of the chair is stamped FH in two places for Fritz Hansen and has the serial number 520065 which relates to 1976, it's also stamped Made in Denmark. The stool has two Fritz Hansen labels one of which attributes the retailer to Knoll Please note this pair are not in perfect condition compared to new pieces but they are in sublime condition for vintage pieces Armchair dimensions Height:- 76 cm Width:- 76.5 cm Depth:- 67 cm Stool dimensions Height:- 43 cm Width:- 56 cm Depth:- 40 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
