This Modernist floor lamp was produced circa 1940 by Gispen and is the model 6004. The piece was designed in 1935 in the Netherlands by Dutch designer W.H. Gispen and is without its original fabric shade. But probably more beautiful without it anyway! The lamp has an white lacquered uplighter and two lamps shining next to it; Different from most Gispen floor lamps, these lights are turned uplight instead of shining down. One switch cord for the uplighter and turn switches for the other lamps, so each lamp can be lit separately. The piece remains in an original very good condition. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution,
European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
