- Stunning original circa 1860-1870 napoleon iii louis xvi style bergère settee which is part of a suite this sofa comes … more Stunning original circa 1860-1870 napoleon iii louis xvi style bergère settee which is part of a suite this sofa comes with a matching pair of parlour armchairs which are listed under my other items this is a truly stunning piece, very comfortable and with a chesterfield tufted back. The bergère is all in very fine order, the frame is ornately carved all over with floral details and reeded legs. The upholstery is silk threaded and has a very soft cream and salmon pink to it condition wise the settee is in very fine order, there will naturally be age and use related patina marks here and there but nothing you would expect from a 150+ year old piece.
