This beautiful painted top, low table is made from pine and originates from Tibet around the middle of the 20th century.
It is in a simplistic style but the lovely paintings on the top, depicting flowers set in a frame that includes longevity symbols makes this a treasured piece. Tibetan furniture like this - even dating from fairly recently, is becoming more and more prized so this was an excellent find.
This delightful table is in good condition, however it is inevitable that some of the old lacquer has worn over the years.
Use today as a lovely and unusual coffee table. less
