It was designed in 1968 and … more This Simris floor lamp was designed by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan, Åhus, Sweden. It was designed in 1968 and later was chosen for the participants quarters during the 1972 Munich Olympics. The lamp is also known as the Olympia lamp. It features a white lacquered aluminium shade with two bulb sockets. The sockets have a number of lighting options. 25w -one bulb 40w -other bulb or a two bulb combination of 25w + 40w = 65w. The press switch is on the side of the shade. The lamp's diffuser is still present. The two stems are made of chromed steel and have a joint and butterfly screw at their intersection. The base is made of cast iron with an aluminium plate that is lacquered white. This piece has an attribution mark,
