Large pewter vase with dark patina representing a man and two women during the harvest: the man is standing, drinking, one of the women is breastfeeding her child and the second one is harvesting the wheat
The neck is decorated with sheaves of wheat.
Vase signed Larroux and bearing the stamp Siot-Fondeurs
Antonin Larroux (1859-19312) is a French sculptor who regularly participated to the salon des Artistes Français where he was rewarded by several medals; one of his favorite subjects was the peasant life (he sculpted many "sower", "gleaner" and other "harvesters"\.)
Good general condition, wear to the patina.
