Aldo Ajò in 1934 in Gubbio, his hometown, opens a laboratory for the production of artistic ceramics in Via Galeotti where he makes majolica artifacts in modernist style. In 1937, he participates with some works at the VII Exhibition of Florentine Craftsmanship, having a good success.
Between 1949 and 1950, Aldo Ajò offered his kilns to Aligi Sassu, who made some ceramic mosaic coverings for a naval floor and, between 1957 and 1959, again in mosaic, the floor of the apse of the parish church of S. Elia in Caglia This piece has an attribution mark,
