Ceramic stoneware object set of 3 Designer and producer: Gerhard Liebenthron Information: Gerhard Liebenthron, Bremen 1925-2005 Decade: 1960s This original vintage Studio Pottery Object set was designed by Gerhard Liebenthron and produced in his own Studio in the 1960s in Bremen Germany. It is made of stoneware pottery ceramic and has a very unique blue coloration and surface structure. each bottom is marked with typical Liebenthron Producer signature GL and year signatures. very collectible and very rare items of the Liebenthron Collection. the set contains three different vase object element in sizes from 8.5cm up to 15.5cm. straightforward and minimalistic design of the 1960s design era. This item is a wonderful addition to every modern home. Dimensions: left Height 8.7cm Diameter 5.5cm. middle Height 8.5cm Diameter 9.5cm. right Height 15.5cm Diameter 5.5cm. Condition: This item is in a very good vintage condition with patina. VITA Liebenthron: From 1945-1951 Liebenthron studied at the Staatliche Kunstschule Bremen (school of arts) in the pottery class of Else Krieg & Dorothea Colberg-Tjadens. In 1951 Liebenthron has been the Assistent of the scultpor Prof. Goersemann there. After Liebenthron finished his time at the Kunstschule he opened his own workshop in the Boettcherstraße, Bremen (in 1952). Gerhard Liebenthron's work can be found in several museums in Germany. The Keramik Museum in Berlin, the Fockemuseum in Bremen and the Hetiens Museum in Düsseldorf for example. He has been a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kunsthandwerk Bremen.
