He showed extensively at the Royal Academy, New England Arts Club and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in the 1960s and 1970s. He was also a member of the Pastel Society. His work shows a preoccupation with the effects of light. This piece of the Cornish seaside was created using pastel on paper. It is in a handmade wooden plaster (swept composite) frame under glass.
