Nicopolis is an original lithograph artwork on paper realized by W.H. Bartlett (1809-1854). Signed on the plate on the lower left.Titled on the lower center. Included a passepartout: 35 x 39.5 cm. The state of preservation is good with a folding o the right and stain along the whitish frame which do not affect the image. Light, and brilliant landscape with the poetical expression of sea and birds. The artwork is characterized by a well-balanced composition and well-defined applying of light and chiaroscuro effects which created a strong feeling of the scene through intense black made shadows and light in far behind of landscape. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
