Description: Terracotta bust representing a woman with a youthful face and fine features.
She is wearing a generous hat, with soft … more Terracotta bust representing a woman with a youthful face and fine features.
She is wearing a generous hat, with soft sides folded down by the presence of a wide ribbon tied under her chin. This twisted hat reveals a curly fringe and long hair with movements falling on the nape of the child's neck. A high necked bodice covers the neckline and shoulders of this angelic looking figure.
This bust rests on a molded pedestal, also in terra cotta.
The artist, A. Blanc, who signed the back of his work, offers us, with this sculpture, an appreciable parenthesis of sweetness and innocence.
