Abstract gouache on paper with geometric concentric colored swathes in the green, yellow, orange, black and white tones. Work signed “m. Mulot” and dated 1965. Blackened wood frame with a decor of guilloche and gadroons friezes. Dimensions: with frame : h 63 x w 78 x d 4 cm / without frame : h 50 x w 65 cm. Marcel mulot (1931) is an autodidact painter who began his painter career in 1986 after many years as a railwayman. He chose to turn to abstract painting from this moment and abandoned portraits and landscapes, influenced by cubism but also by a multi-mediums art. Indeed, he adds to his painting, cardboard, blotter, burlp or music papers. He belongs to many societies and salons like the salon regain at lyon, the center of researches, studies, and cultural animations at villeurbanne, the amicale des amateurs d’arts at paris. He received many rewards as the bronze medal “arts, sciences and letters” in 1971 and the silver one in 1978 as also many others during different expositions. This piece has an attribution mark,
