Her hair … more This art deco sculpture captures the samaritan woman wearing a tunic draped about her body, carrying the jug. Her hair pulled up in a bun, is supported by a diadem. Carved from alabaster, the statue is a beautiful example of classical style. The standing figure, in contrapposto position, is set upon a square base featuring canted edges. Signed on the base: j.
