This David Hockney rare vintage 1986 " Pearl Blossom Highway " iconic lithograph print exhibition poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print poster was printed in England in 1986 on the occasion of the exhibition " A Wider Perspective " at The International Center of Photography, New York. It features an iconic artwork image originally created by Hockney in 1986 titled " Pearl Blossom Highway ".
This is a rare opportunity for true Hockney fans and collectors as this coveted image exhibition poster is long out of print and very scarce to find.
The artwork " Pearl Blossom Highway " was created from almost 800 photographs that were created on site in California's Antelope valley over eight days. The resulting composition which rivals the size of his paintings, shows Hockney's understanding of photography as " Drawing with Cameras ". By taking close ups of individual objects in the desert landscape he introduces multiple viewpoints that activate the scene and engage viewers who similarly experience it over an extended period of time as their eyes take in each detail.
The rare out of print large format exhibition poster measures 36 3/4" W X 32 3/4" H. It is printed on high quality heavyweight premium paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a satin finish.
