A wonderful pitcher, made of glazed earthenware/redware
Banded decorations in yellow and green slip, done in a characteristic manner
Note the linear ornamentation as well
Possibly Thuringia or Hessen, Germany
An early piece indeed - mid/late 18th c. judging from the color palette of the glaze and manner of execution
Measurements: Approx. 7.5" tall x 6.5" spout to handle x 6" widest diameter
Weighs 2 lbs. 5 oz.
Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos. All original and unaltered. Minor spots of missing glaze, age related crazing and accretions.
