Pencil on paper mounted on panel Tomo Sakurai is a Japanese artist born in 1987 who lives & works in Tokyo, Japan. She had an awakening of her talent in pencil drawing as a teenager. It was the beauty of the shadow that completely fascinated her. After she studied graphic design at Yokohama College of Art, she went ahead to the path of the black and white by self-study. Her body of work is seemingly dark and peculiar, but it portrays light, hope, essence and desire. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
