What makes this piece rare is the shape, it is the only all over gold Pickard Limoges square piece with handles I have ever seen. I believe it is called a cake plate, but it is a versatile perfectly sized smaller serving piece. Maker is B&C Limoges, France, it is marked and stamped Pickard its gold on gold logo with lion. The pattern is Roses and Daisies, it is all over gold with etched roses and daisies. I am dating it as 1920's when my grandparents moved to their first house and this was on their sideboard in the Dining Room, but it may be older.. It shows some wear, but no cracks , crazing or chips. I recommend hand washing. My dimensions are approximate. less
