The crumber has … more An electroplated silver over copper Silent Butler table crumber from The Sheffield Silver Co. USA, circa 1950-1960.
The crumber has a stored Lucite handled and nylon bristled brush, and a wooden handle that removes for storage. A thumb hold flips the hinged lid for sweeping crumbs from the table, emptying ashtrays, or collecting canapé picks and spent napkins. Perfect for a quick clean-up after butlered hors d’oeuvres.
The lid shows an engraving of a mythical animal, part horse and part dragon. The handle screws in tightly to its metal holder.
