This is a Absolutely Beautiful - Very Unusual Vintage Nut Serving Bowl from the Black Forest Region of Germany. Circa Mid 20th Century. The Figurative Squirrel and Oak Leafs are Made Out of Solid 800 Grade Continental Coin Silver. The Foot of the Squirrel has a 800 Stamp that Denotes the 80% Silver Content as well as 2 Other Hallmarks that I was Not Able to Identify - This can Best Be Seen in the 12th - Last Photograph in my Chairish Listing. It has Wonderful Detail in the Squirrel and Oak Branch Features. Also Note! That the Squirrel is Actually Holding Genuine Acorn. The Bowl is Hand Carved Out of 1 Solid Piece of Indigenous Pine Wood in the Form of a Half Nut Shell. This Bowl Could be used for Any Kind of Nut - Shelled or In the Shell. It is in Excellent Original Condition - Displays Beautifully. The Silver has been Professionally Tested and is Absolutely Guaranteed to be Solid 800 Grade Silver. These Types of German and Other Continental Silver Hallmarks can easily be documented with a simple internet search.
