Vintage Chinese black lacquer stool or side/drinks table that features an absolutely gorgeous blue inset floral Cloisonne panel on the top. The piece is solid wood, lacquered with abundant hand painted traditional Chinese decoration throughout that consists of orange, beige and yellow flowers on the 5 ruyi shapped legs and apron area. Greek key or meander pattern on the top rim with scroll work underneath, each leg. The cloisonne work on the top is very intricate and of a suburb quality as can be seen in the photograph: main colours are blue, green, aqua, black, yellow, white and red. Stylised lotus flowers around the central mandala.
Origin: China
Condition is excellent.
Circa: 1950-60's.
