Fabulous rare and authentic mid twentieth century Pierre Jeanneret Model PJ-010705 Teak & Cane Lounge Sofa also known as ‘Banquette En Teck’ Chandigarh, India Circa 1956, three-seater banquette with solid teak frame with hand braided canework to the seat bottom and backrest, the seat back slightly inclined backward giving extra comfort, raised on signature Jeanneret ‘Compass’ shaped side leg assembly, the legs forming a support for the flat armrests and united by a full length crosspiece stretcher to the lower front legs, the banquette comes with three newly made velvet seat cushions finished in a light turquoise blue with white piping, this sofa has been sympathetically restored and newly re-caned in Chandigarh in exact accordance with the original specification, as with all of our Pierre Jeanneret furniture these items will come with an extensive set of pre restoration images and a certificate of authenticity, reserve now.
