This Robert Rauschenberg rare vintage 1981 Pop Art lithograph print custom framed Tate London museum poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print poster is designed by Robert Rauschenberg for The Tate Gallery Publications Dept., printed in 1981 in Great Britain by the Hilingdon Press Uxbridge, Middlesex.
Robert Rauschenberg ( 1925 - 2008 ) is recognized as one the 20th Century's most influential and prolific artists. He is credited with binding the gap between movements of Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art. A pioneer of the " Transfer Drawing " process, he experimented in technologically sophisticated combinations of photographs and drawings he is highly regarded as a Modern Mater of mixed media and collage. the works are layered and transcend the two dimensional format for the viewer. Art works by Rauschenberg are included in the collections of more than 70 of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print framed lithograph print Pop Art museum poster measures 20 3/4" W X 30 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modernist matte brushed finish bronzed copper tone metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
