The "sputnik"-model was designed and produced by Jakobsson in Markaryd, Sweden and executed in thin bentwood with solid wood base. It has a delicate construction that it's almost impossible to find any intact examples anywhere. When illuminated, the thin wood casts a distinctly filtered light that reveals the wood's natural grain and casts a warm and beautiful glow. less
