About: A BRILLIANT antique runner displaying the intersection of sophistication and naive nomadic rug design. This piece has incredible quality from weave and construction giving the design and motifs clarity and a nice crispness, yet this is countered with the ever so organic and unpredictable jets of abrash from charcoal, mocha, espresso, and canyon through the nice deep navy blue field. The reds on the outside are lovely and almost muted in a way, and then you see the start earthy chocolate espresso, then to a beautiful airy beige, back to the espresso, met by the inverse mountains in royal blue and nearly a toned down fruit punch, then into the field of beauty. This has such a nice competition and an overall earthy vibe with true age and character. It's tough to pick favorites, but definitely one of my favorite elements of this piece is the use of antique beige in one of the many borders. Its airiness is sandwiched between lovely soil-rich colors and the design inside it is flowing with geometric lines and vines that stem up and around through the rug giving it such depth and an artistic touch. Blooming shrubs and min-trees blossom throughout the field of this piece, and the wool pile constructed on wool foundation speaks to its nomadic charm. I absolutely love this piece and I promise you will love it too. It'll win you over each and every time you look at it, not to mention the nature of its color and design makes it so unique, yet versatile enough to play nicely with any fabrics, stones, metals, woods, and even other rugs! This is a gem!
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available.
