I put a battery in - and the mechanism did not seem to work - so it may have to be replaced or cleaned of the corrosion. There is one tiny chip to one of the tiles in the abstract design (see last pic). ****Another square has a corner chip (happened after photographing) - see last photo with the red arrow pointing at the imperfection. ** Please note that the other photos do not show this imperfection *** Other than that the clock is in very good condtion. less

Hooks are on back to hang the clock horizontally - but the clock can be hung vertically as well with the addition of new hooks.
