Offering a rare vintage Op Art espresso serving set by Ceramica Franco Pozzi, circa 1960s, ALL pieces are signed on the bottom The black and white porcelain set consists of: A large serving tray, 2 demi-tasse cups with saucers, and an espresso pot with a lid. All 6 pieces are signed on the bottom with the original Ceramica Franco Pozzi insignia dating it to the 1960s.
NOTE: This design has been attributed to Gio Ponti, but we cannot guarantee that, but this espresso set is truly quite rare and hard to find anything on-line about it. GAURANTEED TO BE BY CERAMICA FRANCO POZZI, GALLARTE ITALY as stated on the bottom of each piece.
VERY GOOD CONDITION.
1. The coffee pot and lid is flawless.
2. The two demitasse cups are in good condition with a small repair on one cup.
3. One of the saucers has a minor repair on the edge with some very minor hair-line cracks underneath the saucer where the repair is.
4. The other saucer is perfect.
5. The serving tray has crazing (small crackling to the glaze...common with pieces this old) and there is a small repair to a minor chip on the side of the tray.
PLEASE NOTE: This amazing espresso set is guaranteed authentic to the period and has some typical vintage ware commensurate with age. Please take a look at the condition report carefully as there are repairs. If you must have perfect, this is not the set for you, BUT as you can see from the photos this espresso set is still in very good representing condition. Keep in mind its about 60 years old.
A RARE and hard to find vintage Italian espresso set by a top notch Italian designer of the era. A must for the Mid Century Modern collector or home......just spectacular!

Serving tray: 12.75" from handle to handle, 11.75" diameter(not including handle).
Coffee pot: 6" high, 7" wide
Cups: 3" wide (including handle), 2" diameter(without handle), 2" high
Saucer: 4.75" diameter
